Adapted from the Direct Care Worker-Caregiver Fundamentals module, this course is intended to teach essential health safety skills for the caregiver.
Course content includes:
- measures to promote prevention and control of infections;
- standard universal precautions;
- procedures for handling and disposing of sharps, and other bio-hazardous waste;
- common infectious diseases.
2 hour class / $30
